Came across this track in a Twitter mention. BrookerT of Cherry Pop has recently released a video for her track “Swallow Hard.”

So, between Kreayshawn, Nicki Minaj and BrookerT, you’ve got this new trend of female rappers pushing the envelope: writing lyrics and making music videos that arguably reverse some gender roles that exist in both hip hop culture and many others. It’s always interesting to see how music can send out messages about sexuality and gender roles.
