Just in time for Valentine’s Day, the Swatch Love Collection.

For their Fall Collection Jiberish (jiberish.com) decided to venture outside of their traditional lookbook and create a video to showcase a few pieces through film.

I am a former Jiberish athlete who now does freelance video work out of NYC. Jiberish asked me to create a short that captures the vibe and style of some of their good friends wearing their favorite Fall 2011 pieces on a classic autumn day in Denver.

Happy 2012! As we all embark on this exciting (and perhaps historic) new year, we would like to take a moment to share our intentions for the Do LaB community and Lightning in a Bottle festival. Whether prophesied, or simply the true state of affairs, our community, our nation, and our planet face great change at this particular moment in time. We invite you all to embrace this change and continue celebrating life and our incredible human spirit during these tumultuous times. Though our problems seem many, and solutions difficult, we must remember to approach them with grace, love and celebration for in this attitude lies our best way forward.

LIB has always been about discovering and enacting a different way of living. A way that is more in touch with the earth, with each other, and with ourselves. As the pace of change continues to accelerate all around us, and old ways of thinking begin to reach their logical and useful ends, LIB continues to expand its spiritual and educational aspects so that we, as a community, may boldly embrace and lead the way into this new world. The Temple of Consciousness will be bigger than ever this year and will include inspiring new structures for the yoga and meditation area, as well as the beautiful area for speakers and workshops in the heart of the Temple. At the same time, we have a music and performance lineup brewing (scheduled to be released in March) that could be our best yet and is sure to awaken the celebration of dance that we hold so dear.

Swatch has released these pretty awesome touch watches that merge the company’s watchmaking reliability with touch technology. Seems like more and more we’re gravitating towards replacing buttons with touch-sensitive technology. It’s probably a step in the right direction.

The more bottlenecks we can eliminate in striving towards making the integration of life and technology seamless, the better our lives will be. That idea is probably at least worth considering, unless you’re anti-technology or afraid of the unknown, which you’re neither. Right?

So Anya won Season 9 of Project Runway. That’s not really much of a surprise since she won most of the challenges whether she deserved to or not. I do have to say out of the final four, she did have the best style. Her line was one-note, but I could actually see women wearing it. Since my favorite two contestants, Burt and Anthony Ryan, were already eliminated, I figured that Anya would win since the judges seemed to love her.

In other Project Runway news, the spin-off Project Accessory apparently already started with new host Molly Sims, and all new judges (weak). And we have to wait until 2012 for Project Runway All-Stars. (Mondo!)

Superdry are heating things up this autumn/winter with cosy knits, for an updated winter look choose from Big Zip Buffalo Knit or Hutch Hood. The Parliament Cardigan is a particular highlight; super soft in a chunky ribbed design, available in either dark marl or oyster marl. These winter warmers blend vintage design with high quality fabrics and modern finishes.

It was really, really bad. I had high expectations of Kanye because he always looks so pulled-together and seems to be a genuine fan of fashion. I think he would have done better with a men’s line possibly. His women’s line was trashy and expensive at the same time, boobies were hanging out all over, and he managed to make even the smallest model look like she has a weight problem. No woman would want to wear any of these looks, ever. I’m not really sure what he was doing here, but hopefully he never does it again. He should probably stick to music and designing his own outfits.I have included some of my least favorite looks.

So this weekend, there were some huge shows at Fashion Week. The first show I am going to talk about is Diane Von Furstenberg. Her collection was light, airy, and colorful. She used a lot of amazing prints and all of the dresses were light and flowy. She also stuck with a more pastel color-palate, choosing to avoid neons all together.

Zach Posen presented a very structured, almost formal line, complete with business suits and evening gowns. He played it true to form and showed beautiful, jewel tone dresses with mermaid tails. He was definently getting ready for Oscar season.

One of my favorite collections was Derek Lam’s. He used minimal silhouettes with bold colors, textures, and sparkle to stand out. All of his clothes were functional and wearable, while remaining perfectly executed and tailored.

Other shows that have been happening this weekend were: DKNY, L.A.M.B, The Row, Tommy Hilfiger, Nicole Miller, Cynthia Rowley, Lacoste, Victoria Beckham, and those of potential Project Runway winners.

So, remember that episode from Season Three of the MTV show Rob & Big? Well, it inspired us to write a post about stylish big mens clothes. You can see from the clip below, that if you’re a big dude? You’re probably going to have a hassle with some things in life. Of course, these clothes wouldn’t necessarily be a perfect fit for Christopher “Big Black” Boykins, but the search for comfort in life should continue for everyone. Rob Dyrdek (pro. skater) is pretty hilarious, but when he actually gets into a fat-suit made by a Hollywood special effects make-up artist, he sees what some of the big dude struggles that Big confirms for him.

The styles we picked include cardigans, sweaters, polo shirts and shawl collar cardigans.
