Following the release of their magnificent and much praised debut album Lonesome Dreams – Lord Huron are pleased to announce their new single will be Lonesome Dreams the title track of the album.

Led by Michigan-born songwriting prodigy and general creative genius Ben Schneider, their sound – a joyous collision of Appalachian percussion, rustic guitars and sumptuous harmonies lit up by the odd lens-flare flash of electronics – has won rave reviews from either side of the Atlantic.

Inspired by the rust coloured canyons and characters of the Wild West (with the emphasis on wild), the record also encompasses short films, intriguing artwork and a series of imagined novels by a fictional ageing wordsmith, the mysterious George Ranger Johnson. “I’m interested in creating a world with its own mythology,” says Schneider, the Michigan native.

Lord Huron began as a solo endeavor in 2010 but Schneider has since enlisted some of his “best amigos” to turn his songs into a powerful live experience: Mark Barry (percussion, vocals), Miguel Briseno (bass, percussion) and Tom Renaud (guitar, vocals). “We’ve got a pretty good working relationship,” he says. “A good wrestling match can solve almost anything we disagree about.”

Now, after a string of sold-out US shows, their stratospheric rise is set to spread to British shores. Described as “a mysterious, powerful force” by LA Weekly, the band’s live shows brings to life the effervescent noise of Lonesome Dreams, an album as vast and easy to lose yourself in as a Sergio Leone cinescape. They’re first shows outside of the US in London in February sold out in days and the band make a return to the UK for a full regional tour including a headline show at the Scala in London in May.

With their utmost experience and mastery of the craft, Conspirator pushes into 2013 with more raw power and drive than ever, starting with the release of their new EP Unleashed on January 29 followed by an 28 city U.S. tour.

Packed with bass heavy, yet melody driven anthems, this forward thinking band continues to refine their abilities as both onstage and studio driven electronic musicians. As the keyboardist and bass player from The Disco Biscuits, Aron Magner and Marc Brownstein, couple the form and flow of their organic roots with the heaviness that defines the American bass-music scene today. The quartet has risen to unparalleled heights, with the inclusion of guitarist Chris Michetti and Pendulum tour drummer KJ Sawka.

Unleashed is a crystal clear demonstration of Conspirator’s heavy, electronically produced core coupled with a skillful and melodic homage to live instrumentation. Electronic rock sensibilities are gracefully smashed into jaw dropping, dance-floor shaking dubstep rhythms to create an effortless fusion of all things deep. This high-impact collision creates an all encompassing, energetic spectacle which will no doubt be used to shock their devoted crowds from coast to coast.

Following the release of Unleashed, Conspirator will embark on an 28 stop tour to deliver their newest production to fans throughout the Southeast, Midwest, West Coast and Colorado. The tour will begin alongside electronic pioneers, Break Science, on January 31st in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, and finish on February 24th in Indianapolis. From there Conspirator will head out to the West Coast starting in Santa Monica at Central on 3/13 and work their way to Colorado concluding the tour on 3/23 at the Ogden Theatre in Denver.

The Brooklyn based, Pretty Lights Music endorsed, Break Science is bound to make a truly exceptional co-headliner alongside Conspirator in the months to come. Fueled by the collaboration and ingenuity behind Derek Vincent Smith’s label, this original duo made an eruptive splash in 2012. Their fall tour with Michael Menert casted them and their Twilight Frequency EP into the limelight as they spread their conception of music with open-minded fans across the nation. By incorporating facets of arrangement from all corners of the electronic spectrum, this incomparable duo insists that the meaning and transformation is all in the layers.

“PowWow”, the first single off of Conspirator’s Unleashed is a clear demonstration of the raw power that this band is capable of expressing while not losing their soulful and melodic roots. Check out the free download of “PowWow”.

“Ben Schneider’s soaring folk-rock project conjures a life unfettered and outside of time – roads and rivers wind…. The palette is broad, with layered guitars, harmonica and saloon piano tinged with gamelan-style percussion and Asian-flavoured melodies, all serving an impressionist Wild West cosmology that includes Schneider’s visual art and film work. It’s ambitious, beguiling stuff.” Rolling Stone ‘Artist to Watch’

BALTHAZAR LOGO web Balthazar Announce New Single Do Not Claim Them Anymore + The Lexington London Show

Do Not Claim Them Anymore – a single – 25th February 2013
LONDON SHOW – The Lexington 16th January 2013
The Album, ‘Rats’, out February 24th, 2013

Listen to the stream here.

Balthazar preview the release of their album, ‘Rats’, with a London show at the Lexington on 16th January. With their current single, ‘The Oldest Of Sisters’ proving a favourite at Xfm, the band also release a second single from the album in February in the shape of ‘Do Not Claim Them Anymore’.
Balthazar are the brainchild of songwriters Maarten Devoldere and Jinte Deprez. Meeting as teenage buskers, the two embarked on a whirlwind writing partnership that led to the quick formation of the band and initial acclaim in mainland Europe. Resisting the temptation to cash in on that wave of interest, Balthazar took the best part of five years to record their debut album, experimenting with different genres and approaches until they were sure that they had the sound they were looking for. With ‘Rats, that sound has been honed to a focus on melody and subtlety, avoiding the current fashion for bombast to create songs that burst forth in horns or sweep by on strings, underpinned with delicate rhythms that draw on both the pair’s love of the work of Serge Gainsbourg and Leonard Cohen and the hip hop production of the likes of Dangermouse.

With a fine reputation for live shows on the continent and an already sold out Water Rats show under their belt in 2012, this first show of 2013 for Balthazar is a perfect way to welcome the new musical year. Tickets for the date are available from http://www.wegottickets.com/event/198274.

Further live dates for Balthazar will be announced shortly.

The album, ‘Rats’ is released via PIAS on 25th February.

The single, ‘Do Not Claim Them Anymore’ is available from 25th February.
