Hollywood has gone crazy for 3D, every other movie appears to be “in 3D”, but is this really a revolution or is this just another fad? Sortable.com has taken a look at the 3D movie industry to see if 3D is here to stay or if the bubble is about to pop!

Here’s a theory we propose: rather than spending money on 3D technology development, the entertainment industry really needs spend more time on holographic TV development. Forget flat screen, get your media floating in mid-air like R2D2 in Star Wars (only in HD), and that’s a step in the right direction. In Japan, they already have concerts with nobody on stage, but just a holographic video of a performer. Yes, they have branded computer-generated musicians that sell-out venues.

Dame Grease is lending his production and film producer skills for his new film “HC The Movie”. HC The Movie is in pre-production slated for 2012 Film Festivals.

So back in November 2009, we posted a video about the Nike Air shoes with power laces saying that Steven Spielberg and Nike had better get their shit together by 2015 and make this shoe happen.

They’ve come as close as possible with the highly anticipated “Marty McFly” sneaker. Michael J. Fox will be on David Letterman tonight to discuss the release.

Nike CEO Mark Parker stated that a mere 1500 pairs will be auctioned on eBay, with all proceeds going to the Michael J. Fox Foundation. Sounds good to us! The eBay auction begins tonight at 8:30 PM PST and will come to a close on September 18th. So hot! They probably don’t actually have power laces, but they look terrific.
