So, the premiere of MTV’s new show, I Just Want my Pants Back is premiering tonight at 11 pm after Jersey Shore. I had been seeing the advertisements for this show for months, but I did not know until recently that it was based on a book. I stumbled upon the book in the free book menu on my Kindle and I started reading it. Although I am only halfway through, I have to say that I am curious to see how it is going to be interpreted. I’m sure that MTV will take some libeties with plot lines, but from what I can tell the characters are going to remain basically the same. I feel like Jason comes off a little whiney and immature in the book, but maybe his tv version will be more adult. All of the characters are pretty relateable and fun, so I think it should translate perfectly to MTV’s audience. I am going to continue reading the book to see, if in fact, he does ever get his pants back, although he should really just buy some new ones.

Saw this on MTV earlier and it’s so bad. Normally, we keep it positive about the musics, but this song and video are ridiculous. Will.i.am is like junk food for music. Think about all the reasons you wouldn’t eat junk food then think about this song and how weak sauce it is. Will.i.am was working on a business deal with Universal Music Group and we heard he’s a fairly opinionated dude. Not just like strong convictions, but opinionated in a pretentious way. Don’t ask how we know that.

Will.i.am shouldn’t have to tell us how hard the beat is, really. The beat should just speak for itself. Come on buddy!

Then there’s the whole involvement of Mick Jagger. Seriously? Jagger should be thanking Ke$ha right now because since she and Maroon 5 wrote tracks playing on the words “swagger” and “Jagger,” which seems to have created an unfortunate ripple-effect. Now we have to listen to and more horribly see Mick Jagger still performing. Yes, the Rolling Stones made awesome music, but that was years ago, and unfortunately their time has passed. In the entertainment business, sometimes retirement really isn’t such a bad thing. Rather than going hard, Jagger should just go home!

We’ve got that crisis like Jagger, because this song reeks of an older dude trying to be cool for Jagger. You’ve got to know when to fold them, just like if you’re on a casino online. It’s so tempting to go hard though and try to win big when you’ve got money to burn, isn’t it? Call us what you will, but when we gamble, we like to get our video poker on. Two words: human nature.

So, I know that I haven’t talked about American Horror Story yet, but I love it. It so ridiculous and entertaining while being genuinely scary at the same time. I feel like the acting is genuinely good, although the actors are put in such ridiculous scenarios. So, here’s a few of my favorite things about American Horror Story in preparation for tonight’s finale.

I love Constance, so much. Jessica Lange brings the crazy in a really great way. Although Constance is a terrible mother and all of her children hate her, or hated her when they were alive, I kind of feel for her for some reason. I thought that the relationship she had with Addie was very strange and sad and one of the scariest moments all season, to me, was when she locked Addie in the closet and made her look at herself. Although I have heard some discussion of Constance being a ghost, I don’t think that is true because we see her leave her house and Murder House all the time. Her love for Travis seemed as sincere as she could be.

I have mixed emotions about Tate.

At first I really liked him because he was creepy and weird and interesting, but now I am just tired of him. I was really disappointed that he was Rubber Man, because I feel like we already know so much about him as a character, that we don’t really need to add another element to him. And the school shooting scene was one of the scariest things that I have ever seen. Tate’s devotion to Violet has gotten really creepy and I’m glad she told him to go away last episode because I was really starting to feel sad for her that she was trapped in a hose with a crazy lunatic that she could never get rid of. She doesn’t deserve that.

The campiness of the show is what makes it good, the plot doesn’t really make sense, but it doesn’t need to. There are 24 ghosts living in the house that we have seen so far and with that number of characters, things can get a little murky. I have no idea how this season is going to end, but I hope that Ben starts to see the clues that ghosts are living all around him. I am really curious to see what ghost baby looks like and to see if Tate comes back. I’m happy that Vivien and Violet are together again because I really like them and I hope they can get some peace in the finale. All I know is that I can’t wait to see where this show goes next year and what kind of craziness awaits us all.

American Horror Story airs on the F/X network on Wednesdays at 10 pm.

So, I watch the Walking Dead every week, mainly because I love zombies and bloody gore, but also because I have grown to care about the characters. So, this week’s episode was almost perfect zombie entertainment. There are a few things that I am finding continuously annoying about this show, mainly the weird religious overtones. The fact that Lori is pregnant (probably with Shane’s baby) and her husband and Glen talk her into keeping it is beyond ridiculous. This baby is not a miracle, it is only going to slow them down when they are attempting to outrun zombies in the future. Lori won’t be able to run or defend herself when she is pregnant, not to mention how many zombies a screaming baby will attract. So, dumb.

I may be in the minority here, but I thought that everything Shane said at the end when he went crazy was right. No one was taking the threat of the zombies seriously enough. Just because it was Hershel’s land does not mean that everyone needs to go along with the stupid idea of keeping them in the barn. They are not people, they are zombies and they are going to eat you. Everyone in the group, aside from Shane and Andrea really need to start taking this zombie apocalypse more seriously.

And finally, they found Sophia as a zombie. This made me so happy, you have no idea. The fact that all these people thought a 10 year old girl would be able to survive in the wilderness alone and fight of zombies was ridiculous. I enjoyed all of the brutal zombie killing in the end the most of any episode this season. The only thing that would have made this ending better would have been if somehow Sophia managed to attack and eat her mother. That would have been perfection. Also, Dale annoys me a lot, he is creepy and needs to mind his own business. I would have really enjoyed if Shane would have killed him when he caught him in the swamp trying to get rid of all the guns.

The show will be back in February. I will hope for much more zombie brutality in the future.

“Nobody puts Baby in the corner.” -Patrick Swayze, Dirty Dancing.

So Anya won Season 9 of Project Runway. That’s not really much of a surprise since she won most of the challenges whether she deserved to or not. I do have to say out of the final four, she did have the best style. Her line was one-note, but I could actually see women wearing it. Since my favorite two contestants, Burt and Anthony Ryan, were already eliminated, I figured that Anya would win since the judges seemed to love her.

In other Project Runway news, the spin-off Project Accessory apparently already started with new host Molly Sims, and all new judges (weak). And we have to wait until 2012 for Project Runway All-Stars. (Mondo!)

So I know that the zombie and vampire hype has gotten a little ridiculous lately, but the first episode of Season 2 of The Walking Dead lived up to the hype. The beginning monologue was a little cheesy and the episode moved a little slowly, but it genuinely kept the suspense until the end, which was amazing!

There was some good gore and zombies killing, which is the main reason that I watch. My personal favorite death was when Rick bashed the zombies skulls in with a rock. Pretty tough. There was also a scene of unnecessary gore when they ripped a zombie’s stomach open, which was also pretty good.

There were some super ridiculous moments like when the crowd of zombies were walking and they hid under cars, but were undetected. Dumb, zombies can smell people unless you cover yourself with guts. They would have been dead for sure. They also spent way too much time looking for the little girl. She was obviously dead, let it go.

I was waiting for a game-changing moment all episode and it finally happened at the end when Carl was shot in the woods. Amazing! Hopefully, the shooter will be revealed soon, otherwise I am left to speculate on some theories of what happened. The first is that there are some kind of crazy hillbillies in the woods who are shooting people. The second is that that crazy guy who cut off his own hand in season one is back and pissed, so he is shooting everyone. But, my favorite theory by far is that the zombies have learned to shoot guns and are now hunting people. I really hope that this comes true.

The Walking Dead airs on AMC on Sunday nights at 9 PM.

So this weekend, there were some huge shows at Fashion Week. The first show I am going to talk about is Diane Von Furstenberg. Her collection was light, airy, and colorful. She used a lot of amazing prints and all of the dresses were light and flowy. She also stuck with a more pastel color-palate, choosing to avoid neons all together.

Zach Posen presented a very structured, almost formal line, complete with business suits and evening gowns. He played it true to form and showed beautiful, jewel tone dresses with mermaid tails. He was definently getting ready for Oscar season.

One of my favorite collections was Derek Lam’s. He used minimal silhouettes with bold colors, textures, and sparkle to stand out. All of his clothes were functional and wearable, while remaining perfectly executed and tailored.

Other shows that have been happening this weekend were: DKNY, L.A.M.B, The Row, Tommy Hilfiger, Nicole Miller, Cynthia Rowley, Lacoste, Victoria Beckham, and those of potential Project Runway winners.

I am a Zooey Deschanel fan. I think that she is adorable, funny, and has great style. I was hopefully optimistic about her new show New Girl, on Fox. Although the show is not bad, by any means, I do feel like it is forced. While all sitcoms have an element of canned laughter and forced jokes, New Girl is doing all of the old sitcom clichés in an attempt to be hip. Like the whole, I’m so unhip, it’s hip thing.

Let’s start with the premise, an average looking, unemployed, douchy guy cheats on Zooey Deschanel. Already that is not a believable scenario. Just because she is made to seem extra kooky and weird, that doesn’t mean that the majority of men still don’t find her attractive. She then moves in with three guys that she met on Craigslist. No modern, self-aware woman would go alone to a house full of strange men and hang out with them when she has never met or even had a conversation with them before. The guys are all pretty normal and non-threatening. There is not a weirdo or creep in the pack, that also seems highly-unlikely.

But, the show is cute and kinda-funny. Zooey wears cute outfits and sings little songs to herself. All her roommates seem to be fighting for her affections and standing up for her. They all seem like nice, well-meaning guys. I don’t know if this is enough to make the show entertaining though. Zooey’s character is basically an exaggerated version of herself and all of the guys are pretty forgettable. I’m gonna watch a few more times though and see if anything good happens before I completely write it off.

So, remember that episode from Season Three of the MTV show Rob & Big? Well, it inspired us to write a post about stylish big mens clothes. You can see from the clip below, that if you’re a big dude? You’re probably going to have a hassle with some things in life. Of course, these clothes wouldn’t necessarily be a perfect fit for Christopher “Big Black” Boykins, but the search for comfort in life should continue for everyone. Rob Dyrdek (pro. skater) is pretty hilarious, but when he actually gets into a fat-suit made by a Hollywood special effects make-up artist, he sees what some of the big dude struggles that Big confirms for him.

The styles we picked include cardigans, sweaters, polo shirts and shawl collar cardigans.

Why would anyone want to be labeled a hipster after seeing this? Wonder what kind of music they listen to…

Well Fashion Week has officially started, with the big shows today from BCBGMaxAzria, Nicholas K, and Richard Chai. Color blocking was still the trend for BCBG, with several colorful patterns mixed in. His collection was colorful, youthful, and comfortable. He also incorporated a lot of orange and yellow into his looks, which is am happy to see in the forefront.

Nicholas K’s show stuck to a more muted color-palate, but did include both men and women’s looks. He used a lot of sheer fabrics, which I can really get behind and layering, lots of layering. His looks were all a bit military and industrial, which is definitely a trend that is carrying over from this year.

Richard Chai’s runway show stood out from all the rest today, due to the electric-colored makeup. He also showed men’s and women’s clothes in his beautiful resort collection. He used prints, colors, layers, sheer fabrics, and oversized jackets. This collection was very wearable and cutting edge.

With New York Fashion week coming up this week, I got to thinking about which Project Runway designers I think will be showing their collections. My top three picks are Bert, Anthony Ryan, and Kimberly (although that third spot is still up for negotiation, it could be Laura also.) There has been some drama this season with Cecilia choosing to leave after a horrible showing in the Nina Garcia challenge and the remaining designers voting to bring back my least favorite contestant, Josh C. I hate Josh so much, he is super creepy and a terrible designer. Thankfully, he was eliminated again last night. I think that Becky is on her way out, along with Bryce, and possibly Oliver. Although, I have grown fond of Oliver, his designs are pretty boring and seems to be a bit too emotional. The judges seem to be really loving Anthony, Kimberly, Laura, and Josh M’s work. I love Bert because he is a diva who appears to be over dealing with all the young kid’s drama, which I find constantly amusing. We will have to see how the rest of the season goes with the remaining 10 designers. Also, Project Runway All-Stars will be premiering later this fall with my favorite contestant ever, Mondo!

Mercedes-Benz Fashion week starts Thursday in New York and I am looking forward to seeing all the Spring 2012 collections; as well as, seeing some new models. I will post pictures once they are released and tell you all about the collections, so many of which I am excited about.

It was an awesome time. Wallpaper. rocked the house and so did Chiddy Bang. We bounced before hearing Swizz Beatz, but before doing so got to meet Pitbull, which was pretty awesome in and of itself. He’s a fun, energetic gentleman. Video clips from the show are forthcoming (once they’re done rendering). The VMA’s on Sunday 8/28 should be spectacular given what we witnessed earlier.

Now the makers of Pokemon promote smoking weed?

So I’m really excited that Project Runway came back last night, although last season was super disappointing because Mondo lost. I’m still upset about it. The night began with the casting session where most of the designers told sad stories about the struggles in their lives and how hard they have been working to be where they are in their careers.

The most interesting of the back stories was Bert Keeter’s. He graduated Parsons in 1978 and went to work for Halston and Bill Blass. Fancy! He quit the industry in 1992 when his partner and best friend died of AIDS. He then hit the bottle heavily to cope with his losses, he has now been sober for three years. Not only is Bert a great designer with amazing experience, he seems like a genuinely nice man.

Another sad story was Anthony, although he is only 28, he is a testicular cancer survivor. He losses points for me by constantly referring to himself as, “Rocking one.” I don’t want to keep being reminded of his balls. I also really like Anya and her island flair.

My least favorite contestants are Joshua Christensen (there is something super creepy about him), Joshua McKinley (he needs to tone down the diva), and Laura Kathleen (she is privileged and the pretty-girl, we know this because she keeps telling us.) Stop it, all three of you.

The challenged consisted of the designers creating an outfit from what they wore to bed and a sheet. This resulted in a lot of wrong to tell you the truth. Rafael made some sort of high waisted leggings with too small of top. When a size 0 model looks big, you know you have a serious problem. Joshua’s was also disgusting. It was super boring and ill-fitting, I wish he would have gone home instead of Rafael. Julie made some ill-fitting raver pants. Fallene had a dress with a clown puking on it. Just no.

Most of the designs were forgettable. Bert was the winner (of course) with his super cute cocktail dress made out of boxers and a t-shirt. Anya’s outfit was cute too even though the pants were kinda too flared for my taste. Oh, and I’m not feeling midrift tops either.

So, MTV just released the trailer for Season 4 of Jersey Shore, premiering on August 4th at 10 pm on MTV. This trailer is pretty great and it looks like there is lots of drama in store for our favorite guidos and guidettes. This season is taking place in Florence, Italy so it should bring a whole new vibe to the show. Be sure to tune in for all the fist pumping action.

Just a reminder that season 4 of True Blood premieres on Sunday at 9 on HBO. I am very excited. HBO just released a new trailer which shows that witchcraft will play a pretty heavy role in this season. Since I love True Blood (and have read all the books), I will be giving various updates throughout the season whenever something particularly interesting happens.

Also, True Blood creator Alan Ball gave an interview recently where he stated that the fifth season of True Blood will mostly be the last, so watch while you have the chance because the end is in sight.
