Kanye has gone in a different direction with his 808s & Heartbreak record. Some claim that this release is “experimental,” although as you can see from our experimental posts, songs can get a lot more experimental than the tracks on this release. However, this is certainly experimental for an artist most known for commercial hip-hop releases. Kanye has already shown us that he’s willing to go in multiple directions and is not pegged to one sub-genre or style of hip-hop. Also, it should be noted that Kanye seems more obsessed with designer and hipster fashion than the average rapper.
